saw the newest LOVE stamps!

I love them!What do ya think?

They're 'forever stamps' so I can't wait until I've used up all my "Pine cone forever" stamps so I can replace them with a bunch of these!

Life on Thursday

I got a good workout in this morning! I despise the stair climber machine and this morning we had a date! I was glad when I was done.

When I got home W was still here. This is his early day at school, so I thought he'd overslept, even though I'd sent him a "Smotherhood" text and a phone call to make sure he was up! He was still here casually eating his cheerios! I decided not to fire my guns at him as soon as I walked in the door, but finally mentioned that I was surprised he was still here and not in a rush...... He didn't have school today! Fall break! but didn't bother to tell anyone else about it! That's what he gets, smotherhood, if he's not going to inform me!

Then to finish the PTO Carnival Thank you Notes. 70 of them to be exact. Yes, I know they were on last Thursday's to do list. Can you say PROCRASTINATION! well, you can say it but I live it! I did get them done but not before it was confirmed that I'd lost my mind. I had 20 note cards from the lady last year, so I need to make 50 more. I figured out a new format that had 3 on a page and I started printing. I printed 30 pages before I realized I didn't need 50 pages, I just needed 50 cards. I'd like to think I'm just helping next year's lady out by getting her Thank you notes all done!, right......No, I've lost my mind!

Then I came to home to work on some Insurance paper, only to discover that I'd used all my printer ink on the Thank yous!

Off to pick up G after school, and a quick trip into Walmart for Printer ink!

Home to finish the Insurance papers and then off to work in the yard. The rain had made the weeds grow and then grass alittle bit! I was almost done mowing but ran out of gas! My boys used MY lawn mower gas for the ATV .... rotten kids!

So I moved to cleaning up my deck and working on my Cacti. I love cleaning up the deck in the fall. I love it about as much as I love getting the deck ready in the spring. I love my little Cacti, they usually just get tucked away in a rush in the fall, but today I worked with them, repotting some and moving them around on the deck. I don't understand a cacti that doesn't like the sun, but I have some. Today they all got some attention and a new place to sit in the cooler sun!

G had a friend over so we had Mac n' Cheese with Ham for supper.

Watermelon!

Several years ago I was eating some watermelon at church with just a few people around. I found the salt and sprinkled some on my piece...... TALK ABOUT a show stopper! People stopped talking to watch me. What had I done? I was just eating Watermelon?!?

Then one of them nudged his wife and said, "Did you just see what Shelly did? She salted her Watermelon?" When I heard this, I innocently looked at them and said "What and you don't?"

As for me and mine .... we salt!

well, that's a far stretching statement because the rest of my little family doesn't really like watermelon... W likes to chuckle at me when I'm eating watermelon and say

"Oh mom, you and you're melons!"

HUH?

Loving this product

I originally got this (a couple of months ago)
little handy dandy gadget for the blender
(for making smoothies) but I have since fell in
love for the 'chopper' bowl.

I just rough cut my veggies
(carrots, broccoli, cauliflower etc),
drop them in and press the button
and presto I have a chopped veggie
salad. I then just add dressing and it's a
perfect mixed veggie salad.

Frustration here, Frustration there, Frustration EVERYWHERE!

This week my Facebook has decided to act funny. I can get on, I can see just the first few status' of my friends, I can't go beyond that, I can't push any buttons. That's the problem, I can't push any buttons. I'm Frustrated!

I wanted to get the pictures out of my camera and start posting them here ...well the camera is not talking the computer. I've tried to mediate but they just won't recognize each other! So the pictures are still in the camera. I'm Frustrated!

I'm Frustrated with my schedule last week, someplace to be EVERY day, very little home time. So today I'm giving up! I'm staying home ALL DAY! I'm going to just curl up with a movie or a book and pretend everything is working fine. This is my favorite place to be .... Denial!

Freezer burnt?

We are eating out of the freezer this week. I've been trying to this for the past few weeks but only half heartily. This time I'm serious! Not only I'm I cleaning out the freezer but the pantry as well. I'm a girl on a mission.......

Last Night we had Shake 'n Bake Chicken leg quarters, baked potatoes, and these most wonderful rolls that I've found. Sister Schubert's dinner Yeast rolls. They are frozen but ready in 5 to 10 minutes.

There are 10 nice sized rolls in this package. There are a couple of different kinds of yeast rolls to pick from and they'll all good. I cooked them all thinking that I would make turkey sandwiches out a couple for hubby's lunch today.

That didn't work out since W LOVES them.

I also made a cinnamon coffee cake from the pantry.

Simple Joy

Laughter is a wonderful joy and this is movie does just that . One of my favorites " Pixar Short films". It's filled with the short films that are shown before Pixar movies, such as Toy Story, and Monsters, inc. My favorites are the "Birds", "Nick Nacks" and the "Tin Toy". They make G and I laugh out loud every time we watch it, which is often. I would also recommend watching the movie with the directors commentary. There are some interesting tidbits that make the movies that much more interesting. Don't forget the popcorn!

....and there was sound!
