March Madness

We've got our March Madness brackets filled out and are eagerly awaiting for the games to begin! I love the fact that we fill these brackets out only to have them blown out of the water with the first games!

notice that W has 2 brackets .... he couldn't resist when his teams began losing! Filling out another bracket isn't allowed after play begins! says me the judge!

We didn't have a class on how to fill out basketball brackets but I think we should have!

This is G's bracket .... notice his technique? It took some time but W figured out this method.

HINT ~ if you follow the red lines you'll see the progression of a team! If your red line is broken, you're OUT!

FYI ~ Hubby and W pick Kansas to win it all, G has Tennessee winning it all!

This little attempt to let G

dunk the ball didn't work out so well.

After this picture, W raised G up,

G grabbed the rim

attempted the dunk but the ball missed.

W then tried to leave G hanging there while W got the ball.

G wanted no part of that .... yelling ensued (or should I say screaming).

sorry, I thought I had it turned, I'll work on this later.

The next attempt wasn't as successful in getting height

seems only 2 of the 3 were on board with the plan!

Easter Morning....

Our Traditional Easter Egg Hunt.....

G and I have the Easter Egg Hunt

with the eggs that we dyed last night!

This hunt goes on over and over and over and over....

Valentine's Day Tradition lives on!

We have a Valentine Tradition of a Valentine treasure hunt. In past years I have given clues to prizes around the house. Where the young Valentine would have to figure out the clue to find the Valentine treasure. This year I took pictures of places around the house where once figured out the young Valentine would find his gift.

This still proved to be a challenge for him and he needed clues!

I took the pictures, but when I ran them off (on my little photo printer) the dark ink was out so I got PINK pictures (I couldn't have tried for something more perfect for Valentines Day).

~Easter Traditions~
In the Easter tradition G and I colored Easter Eggs this morning! G focused on putting his friend's names on the eggs, while I stuck with the more tradition Easter egg designs. Can I just say this day is the entire reason I have coffee cups!

Then on the Saturday before Easter our friends the Hull Family have a GREAT tradition of an Easter Egg Hunt. Everyone they know is invited. Everyone is required to provide either 2 bags of candy or 2 dozen real hard boiled eggs (before hand) then they have them ready to go when you get there! Here is G and his friend, trying to be patient, waiting for everyone to arrive. The field behind them is covered with colorful plastic eggs. I think the Hull's said they had over a 1000 eggs this year!

When they say GO and it's a free for all. Gather as many eggs as you can before they're all gone! Which only takes a few minutes. Once the gathering ends the counting begins, there is a GRAND prize of $1 for the most gathered. Then the eggs are emptied, you keep the candy and return the eggs. G had 52 eggs!

New Tradition?

G found these eggs at Wal-mart. They are "Lights out Egg Hunt"! Last night I hid (tossed) in the front yard after dark. G and W's girlfriend, J raced to see who could find the most. The eggs have a small glow in the dark stripe around them and then they had small flashlights! It was fun and COLD.

Skipper, the dog, thought it was great that I'd come outside to play ball with him! He'd run after the eggs ~ I finally had to just let him have an egg. He was so disappointed with it popped open thus making it not a 'ball' anymore!
