Life on Thursday ~ Why Not?

Today when I got back from the Y, there was this pile of blocks in my front yard. Yes, there were there when I left and really had been there for a couple of days. When I got home, I decided that I'd work on them .....Why not? it was September 1st and the weather is suppose to be cooling down, RIGHT?

WRONG ... this week we've been having temps hoovering around 100! So Why Not work on the blocks today. I waited for W to emerge from his cave bedroom, when that didn't happen by noon, I went out and started without him ... and the proceeded without him all afternoon!Until I had used almost all of my Blocks, the yard was clean....

Well, there is a dying bush that got pulled out!

But one side is finished! YEA for me! There is a quote that says "Sweat is your fat crying" Well, my fat cried all afternoon!

Even though the temp was 102, the wind was strong so the humidity was low. So Why Not... it was a perfect day!

I even was able to put a Roast on for supper!

Yes, I was on a roll today.... tomorrow I might even be able to roll anywhere!

Where is that Advil bottle???

Life on Thursday

Today started getting computer things done. I always think I'm not getting anything done when I sit there all morning even though I am moving forward on this project but it's not done!

I had the first part of my crown yesterday so my mouth is sensitive so a workout was out of the picture for today. Thankfully it got better as the day worn on.

The weather was perfect today mid 80's and low humidity. Beautiful!

I had a meeting for planning the 'enrichment' meetings for the women at church this afternoon. We got all the ideas for the rest of 2011 in place and most of 2012. That's a great feeling to have those plans in place.

Made a quick stop at the grocery store, then home to enjoy another dose of Advil. Maybe it wasn't getting better I was just getting better at taking Advil!?!?

I had taken my van in for a tune up last night and they called at the last minute and said it was ready. W took me to town to get it! I was hoping to just let this van die but now we need it to LIVE for a few more months!

I spent the night doing laundry and fixed homemade Egg McMuffins for supper with fruit.

Life on Thursday

Wow this is the 2nd day of school, not as much excitement and more sleepy!

I had woken up at 4:14 and didn't go back to sleep until 5:30. I stay in bed and contemplate the problems of the world. Alright not the world's problems but I really pray over my concerns. I usually just finally ask the Lord, "OK what am I suppose to do or know." Once that is covered I can go back to sleep.

When the alarm went off, I was SSSOoooo asleep! G wasn't as eager to get the morning things done (like a shower!?!). He still made it to the Bus on time, much to all the drama that he displayed.

I then went off to visit a lady I go to church with, helped her out for a short time.

Came back home, washed a couple loads of clothes then ......

NAPPED for an hour.

My allergies have been acting up. When I was little I had horrible allergies, but as I've grown up the allergy symptoms have given way to a general worn out feeling. It usually takes a couple of days for to figure out why I don't feel good. Today was the day that the lightbulb went off. I'm not worn out because of eating junk, or not drinking enough water it's because of my allergies. Well, the lightbulb went off because I also had a sinus headache.

I have a big P.E.O project with a deadline coming up so I worked on that for an hour. I made great progress but still more to go!

G's bus ride might be short in the morning but the afternoon ride is LOOoonng! He rode yesterday for 1 hour and 45 minutes after he was out of school. The last on means the last one off!?! There is a transition station at one of the schools and that is always a mess the first few days. I'm hoping the afternoon ride will get shorter!

I still was able to go to my last semi private training session. My workout partner is a teacher so we had to switch to late afternoon.

Came home to a build your own personal pizza and salads, shower and relax

Life on Thursday ~ Meltdown Version

After being on a food binge, lack of sleep vacation the past couple of days it was back to reality today. It's always the fun times that spur a meltdown day (or two) for G. He's tired and used to having too much electronics for him to quit cold turkey. I just have to hold on and let them happen while sticking to my guns! Today was that 'cold turkey' day as known as a Meltdown day".

I got a great boxing workout in. Not without a mini meltdown from G. about how he wasn't going.

Then we got home we had tons of yard work to get done. G just wanted to watch TV so we had a few meltdowns until he realized that TV watching wasn't going to happen. Then he wasn't too bad about doing his chores.

The weather was perfect, 80ish and sunny (finally) for yard work. Our yard needed to mowed badly. I had asked that it be mowed while I was gone, but it didn't get done. I really do love to mow so I wasn't too upset.

I took a badly needed shower, started a new book, fixed burgers, roasted veggies (asparagus, & green beans) and fresh tomatoes for supper and turned in early.

Life on Thursday

I don't know what has happened to me!
I the laundry queen haven't been doing laundry!
Late last night I realized that I didn't have any
sports bras clean for my workout this morning.
I put a load in the washer and promptly fell asleep.

I woke up this morning in a panic to switch the laundry.

It all worked out but this just isn't like me!

We got to box in my Semi Private (2 of us) training session.
Not box against each other but up against dummies.
Not the kind that look like a person
(even though I might like that) they just look like
big pillars. It was a good upper body work out!

Came home cleaned up my kitchen.

Signed up for my next 5k... this Saturday!

Piddled around, then rushed

(I hate it when I do that piddle all day

and then have to rush some where)

to the Post Office.

We, G and I then took off to the city to school supply shop.
WOW it was all picked over and even some stuff couldn't be
found! I'm glad we went today and not next Thursday.

Stopped by the BBQ place to pick up supper.

G ordered a slab of ribs for Hubby and himself!

I've just started laundry again! Hopefully I can get
at least a couple loads done before I fall asleep!

life on Thursday

Found this little gem this morning!

We (mainly me) are still taking things slow due to the sunburn. It's been awhile since I've burned this bad! AND plus the heat is just pure HOT! It's been over 100 at our house for at least all of the month of July. Well, OK that's an a bit of an exaggeration, because on Monday it was only 95!

I discoverd that Alex Tribec is 71! Shocking isn't it?!?

I started laundry when I heard G yelling for me to come quick!

When I got the back porch, I found this ....

I guess pictures are loading right now so I'll get them up when I can!

Seems that G had wanted to move the tomatoes into the shade. When he was moving them, no knowing they were tied to the deck railing, the supports broke. Some steams broke, but some haven't so we're trying a new way of growing tomatoes the rest of the year!

We settled down to watch the Soccer's Apprentice, but were interrupted by a storm! Yea, a storm. Along with the heat we've not had rain for the entire month of July. This was a strong wind, lots of lighting, knock the lights out kind of storm but it produced 2 inches of rain! So I'm not complaining

Life on Thursday!

Swim Team and workout!

Took G to Strength, ran my Walmart Rx errand

Back home to quickly get showered and ready for a trip to the city after I dropped G off at a friends for a sleep over. That boy has TOO much excitement to really get anything done.

Drop G off and head to the City. Just a few errands. I've joined a team for a 'city wide' Slim Down contest and had to go weigh in for that. I've been doing a slim down challenge at my local Y for the past month and dropped 12 pounds thus far! Feelin' great!

Ran to the Sporting goods store for new shirts for Hubby, and some running items for G. G will be thrilled since they have 'logos' on them!

Went to eat at my favorite Pei Wei. Ate before I weighed in, I wanted to be the heaviest I could be!

Then off to mattress shop! I'm not the one that will complain about the mattress so I'm not really the one who needs to picking it out. BUT the statement was made (even though I believe it to be a loaded statement) "you get it and I'll lay on it!" After 22 years I find this statement difficult to believe!?!

Home again for a few minutes of cooling off.

Off again to my Y for a Healthy Cooking class. Tonight we made healthy chicken salad (it showed us how to be creative with our ingredients) wrapped in cabbage. The instructor gave us the merit of cabbage! It was good and I'll try it!

Home and to bed!

Life on Thursday ~ it's a hurry up and wait kinda day!

We made it to the Y for a reluctant workout, but once I got into it I made it work and got my sweat on! I've found that if I workout in the morning then I'm not as snacky throughout the day. So I definitely wanted to get to that point!

While G was in Strength I burned rubber all over the county running errands. I had a boat load of old paint for the Hazardous Household waste place. Boy was I lucky, I tried to take the things on Wednesday but got there just minutes after they'd left! Today they were suppose to be closed (I didn't know this) but they just happened to be there and took my load!

Another errand to take Hubby's overdue movie back to library and made it back to pick up G 55minutes later!

After a quick dash into Walmart it's back home!

For lunch G had gotten a Hungry Man meal from Walmart! He is always taken to the frozen meal they make for kids but they just aren't enough for him so he choose a HUNGRY MAN sliced turkey, potatoes and gravy meal! He didn't snack all afternoon!

After a much enjoyed shower we were off to donate blood. Well, I donated while G read and played his Nintendo DS. This is where the Hurry up and Wait started. They couldn't get a vein in the first poked arm so I waited for the 'best vein finder" to be available. She switched arms and I was finally done in no time! Another life saved!

Then off to the city. My phone had been acting up and I'd been reduced to a pile of frustration with phone I couldn't turn on without great problems! So I decided that since it was acting up at the moment then I'd take it straight to the store. I wasn't the only one that had the idea to head to the store at that time!?! Fortunately my wait wasn't too long but the process for me was long. Well, as usual the phone wasn't quite as bad once I got there! Isn't that always how it goes?? I ended up getting a new phone. On my dime not theirs since I'd wanted until warranty was up!

Stopped to get the boys Olive Garden (W chicken Alfredo and G Spaghetti with meatballs). The meals came with salads so Hubby and had those along with grilled chicken!

Finally home and supper eaten ... crashed in bed!

Life on Thursday

I love how I've started doing my "Life on Thursday" on Friday!??! I was just too tired last night to get back up and fill you in!

Today started with the usual Swim Team at 7am.

I had a trainer at the Y show me how to use all the machines there and set up a plan for me. We've been member for around 3 years and I've never done my 'wellness plan' with them so that was good and will give me more to do.

We rush home for a 20 minute eat breakfast and then head off to a Strength Class for G from 10 to 11am. I sat in the car.

We came back home. I mowed for what I wanted to be just 35 minutes but inspite of leaving a noisy timer to ring and telling G that he was suppose to come and tell me when the timer went off, I mowed longer. It seems that G is a TV zombie and when the timer went off, he got up turned it off and switched from watching TV to playing Wii. ???? I only mowed 10 minutes too long and had to rush around to get ready for the next trip into town!

After showering, eating lunch I got G to his next exercise event, Basketball Camp, from 1:30 to 3! Then I went to a PEO planning meeting. We got all of our great ideas firmed up. I am pleased that this is finally getting ready for the next phase of planning.

Picked up G came home. Collapsed to just watch alittle TV. While I was watching just a started to justify that I could just listen to the TV, I would just shut my eyes and listen to it! I know NOW I can see what a foolish idea this is, but HEY I know you've been at that point too! Lucky for me I just had them closed for about 20 minutes when I jumped up and remembered that I had to be at the Post Office by 5. I was lucky to see it was 4:25.

We had tickets to the Major league Baseball game in town that were going to waste so I made a handoff to the a friend that "would love to go" in the middle of the street in front of the post office (wow that's a long sentence). She headed off the the ballgame and I headed into the post office.

Home again Home again jiggity jig!

Decided that my family couldn't shower since we had no clean towels, started laundry but then left it all downstairs.

Made burritos for supper and crashed in bed! BUT not before I turned off the alarm. That event is becoming my favorite thing! Turning off the early morning alarm on Thursday night!

Lfie on Thursday

**up at 6:15am
**out the door by 6:50
I don't know what happened there, but I'm sure I can blame it on a very sleepy G!
G has been enjoying some late nights this week!
**working out with lead legs by 7:20am
man these legs didn't want to move this morning.
I blame it on the fact that I've always taken Thursdays off, but the swim coach didn't want to take Thursday off this year!
**Noon ~it's sprinkling while I'm sitting in the chair at the beauty shop (does anyone call it that anymore?) telling Mandy to just shave my head! For some reason this year this super fine hair of which I have tons of is a mess! I tell her what and where the problems are and she works her magic. I love her!

12:40 ~ G and I head to Applebees for lunch. I have the ever yummy Oriental grilled Chicken salad while he chooses Mac and Cheese, which I reject and tell him to try again! He then orders a steak!

1:30 ~ we head to the 'farm store' to look for some work/hiking boots for G. No luck!

We head back home to chill! and yes it's chilly, raining and cloudy. G actually opts for a blanket while we read scriptures.

THEN the phone call that I'd been waiting for! The AC repair man! Our AC has been out for the past week! After several visits (some late at night) they finally figured out the problem and then had to order the part! Yeah, there have been some sultry nights around here! along with some dang HOT days (hence some of the frustration with my wild hair). There were also some great and beautiful days (high in the 70's). BUT really if I can't sleep well, it's not good!

We had grilled chicken thighs, with roasted Asparagus and corn on the cob for supper!

OH and I ordered G some work/hiking boots from Kohl's for $20 that a double good thing!

Life on Thursday

As the usual our Thursday started early! 6:15am out of the house by 6:40 headed for swim team!

I paid my Y bill (swim team for 2 months $100, 5k entry for G and I $50,and the Slim Down challenge $50)! I think we're set now!

I did the elliptical for 60 minutes! Shocker G was done before I was! The night before was the first swim meet so the 'fish' were all tired!

I came home to finish up the clutter exodus, W went to work and took G with him.

I got to the point where it was time to get rid of the many piles .... one to recycling, one to a friend, another to the thrift shop and one to the Post Office.

I picked up G at the pool after 3+ hours of swimming (well, more like 3+ hours of jumping off the diving boards), took him to McDonald's for a 10 piece Chicken Nuggets, a quick trip into the grocery store and then home.

After his shower we noticed just how PINK he was!

Had burritos for supper and called it a night.

Sometime in the night we must have had some wind, when I went out and a couple of my plants had blown over and some of my marigolds had broken off! Nice to sleep through it!

Life on Thursday

WOW 6:15am came so much earlier today than the rest of the week! The novelty of Swim team Taxi is wearing off! Still we made it there by 7am, I worked out of for my hour.

Got organized with the classes offered at the same time I'll be there so I'll do a couple of classes during the week.

at 9am I delivered G to his Basketball camp. Where he begged me to text W and have him pick him up. Yeah it's true W picking you up is WAAAaaayyyy more cool than your mom. When I asked G yesterday if that was true, he just hugged me real tight and said, "yeah Mom it is"

Came home cleaned up my kitchen, went through the paper that just piles up!

I arranged for a friend to come over this afternoon. They pulled up the same time G and W did.

Then I sat on the phone in front of the computer all afternoon working on problems.
I've gone to online banking with almost all of my accounts .... well, I keep getting locked out of one account! I have to call them every month to help me get in ... today was that day. I then wrote all the information down and case caution to the wind. If a theft can find it in my piles of paper around my computer then more power to them.... I won't even be able to find them in 30 days!

They are previewing the new Food Pyramid today ... it's now a food plate, it makes sense until I realized that it could easily be a pizza!?

Life on Thursday

This Thursday is the

last day of Elementary school

for our house.

I dropped him off without Fanfare.

A simple

"I love you and enjoy your last day",

as he jumped out car.

Forgetting his lunch, as we would later find out!

I came home to

enjoy the quiet

of the last day of school at home.

I did some

deep pondering,

as this may be the last moment I have to do that.

I called the school

to see what time the picnic lunch would start.

I woke up W at 10:30 to

remind him

he was going to the picnic lunch and play day with G.

We'd all discuss this and knew W going would make a

bigger impression

with G and his friends than MOM going!

W left here LATE (MOM would not have done that)

but got there well before the picnic.

W didn't have lunch because he was running late.

So once they all discovered that G didn't have his lunch

they bailed out of school and went to lunch at Applebees,

just the boys!

They came home ...

G blurted out his last school day,

we went over his Grade card

(an excellent one I must say),

and I handed over his DS!

I went out to

enjoy this beautiful day

by mowing the yard, spraying weeds and looking at my flowers!

Let the summer begin,

all 82 days of it!

Life on Thursday

Today was a City Errand day! Not all errands were successful but all were ran!

I furthered my quest to find a cushion for our Chaise. These things are expensive ($40 on the average) and getting thinner and thinner every year. We use to buy a nice thick cushion for the same $40 as now you get a super sleek thin cushion! I'm still holding out for a nice thick one. That quest continues......

Next stop Kohl's to get G some new clothes. Success!

Lunch at my favorite Pei Wei for a Pei Wei spicy chicken Salad! Yummy success

quick stop by Target. Success!

Next to Nursery to pick up some 'good' dirt for Hubby's potted tomatoes! Hoping for sucess.

Home. Success

Go to pick up G at school. On the way home we pass W and friend on the road (they were taking W's truck to the mechanic to see if lives or dies). When I walk in the house, I'm greeted by our outside (and I mean VERY outside, digging in the field, chewy unidentified things) dog. He's happy to see us, of course. Seems when W's friend walked in he didn't realize that you have to be careful of the dog on thundery days. I've gone to the position that there is really no fighting the dog when it's storming BUT today it wasn't storming, just a distance thunder! The Storms just weren't coming our way today but try telling this to the dog!?! Finally a couple hours later, after I'd run the vacuum (didn't really faze him) G successfully gets him out! long drawn out but a success!

Then we rush off to Church for a night on Family History. We shared some great websites, one being Findagrave.com you can put in the your family's name and get information from their grave stone! Just how cool is that?! Success

Life on Thursday

Today started early, with a trip to get my yearly Mammogram! It was quick painless and done for another year! Then off to get G's Boy Scout things. WOW! the BSA has a monopoly on that stuff and it's pricey! I stopped by Chipotle to get lunch for our Moved Get it Done day. As I pulled into my parking place noticed a table of police officers, as I was getting out I noticed a couple other police office eating at another table. I walked in and had the door opened by a couple of Highway Patrolmen. I knew I was safe! As I was pulling out of the parking lot there was another Highway Patrol car with 4 Patrolmen in it! WOW the safest place around at 11:30 on a Thursday is Chipotle's OR you could take this as a time that you could run amuck around town, since they're all at Chipotle's!?! I had an odd little bout of a bug on Tuesday so our Get it done day was moved to today. We worked at Stephanie's house. She has company coming and we worked on getting her bedrooms ready. After a quick trip to the grocery store I came home. Took a nap, I don't ever really have allergies symptoms but I get sinus headaches and tired when everyone else is sneezey and drippy so it really must be allergies. It was pork chop sandwiches for supper. I really like Pork Tenderloins and this is my low fat substitute! Pork Chops pounded into tenderness and grilled on George! Slap'em on a bun with mustard and pickles ~ Yummy!

life on Thursday

I always like to do some sort of learning field trip during spring break. So today G, his friend and I went to the Money Museum in the Federal Reserve.

Before entering the Reserve, we had to go through security! I tried to take a picture of the boys walking through, but I was quickly informed that I could not take pictures of the security system. This included any of the camera bubbles, believe me this was not an easy task, there were camera bubbles all over the ceiling and all over the walls! A brick of Gold We got to see how heavy it was (by pulling a lever) and how much it was currently worth. The history of coins
Make our own money with our picture in it!

See what several million dollars looked like!

Then of course the most exciting part for the boys was the watching the operations of the vault!

Of course no picture taking there!

It's was all computerized with robot fork lifts.

The fork lifts were named

Hewie, Dewie and Lewie

they ran on sensors in the floor.

They went up and down this long hall, picking up and

delivering money to the work rooms!

We got to watch one of the work rooms.

The room with $20s and $1's

We'd started our day with lunch at Ryan's

(Gabe's favorite that no one ever goes for)

WOW that trip there was enough to hold me for awhile.

Life on Thursday

I was off and running this morning after putting on my GREEN shirt (Happy St Patrick's Day), I went to visit a friend, went to set up the church for tonight, then I headed to volunteer at G's AR store.

They get points for reading and then they can redeem those points for items. There is always a bigger item, a field trip that they can save their points for and purchase in the spring. I believe there is something smaller in the fall (maybe a movie). Today was the day they could redeem their points so I worked the store for an hour.

It was horribly humid outside and the temp was rising. I actually turned the AC on as I was driving. There was a strong wind and usually that blows the humidity out of here but not today! Shewww it was sticky.

I came home, piddle around when I got just absolutely exhausted. I laid down and SLEPT. I might not have told you this but I was discovered by W, so I might as well fess up! I NAPPED and it FELT GOOD!

Then I watched W watch the NCAA tourny. Our family, as usual filled out their brackets (the deadline was Tuesday, yes there was a deadline this year for your bracket to be posted on the frig!?) and now they sit and watch their bracket fall apart! I believe at one point I heard W state, "This is alot of stress! I don't think I can take it."

Then it was time to run again. Tonight was Relief Society's Monthly Meeting. (Relief Society is our woman's group at church) It was an easy going evening, the ladies were encouraged to bring items that they just never got around to doing and get them done! There were sewing machines set up so there was sewing, there was sorting of pictures, there was logging family history into a computers and then there was just sitting around and visiting! We then had several ladies share some of the preparedness tips.

Life on Thursday ~ Hallelujah all Day!

Hallelujah it was a great workout! I walked 4.1 miles in an hour! It's still not 1/2 marathon speed but it's getting there! I needed a great workout since my pants are getting tight! Blasted Valentine's Candy!

Then off to the grocery store in all my stinky mess!

I came home to find W still at home. I could tell by his truck still in the drive. I had done a step class yesterday so I was too sore to really go downstairs to see what was wrong. I finally did go, groaning all the way! He had just over slept.

Then to make the most Hallelujah salad for tonight, love love love it!

Laundry laundry Laundry Laundry.

I must say it was a Hallelujah record setting day. Sunny and 75 by 1pm!
I believe last Thursday was a record setting day too, but for the opposite reason! Not so much a Hallelujah day, but that was last week!

Then back to church to set up for tonight's Relief Society Meeting. Home to shower and head back to church.

The Meeting was on Exercise "Run and Not be Weary, Walk and Not faint" it the famous Michelle, of friend, Y trainer fame gave the talk.

She talked about how we don't do the things we used to do, like sit on the floor. Why don't we do that? We should make an effort to sit on the floor and practice getting up. Why don't we skip? Skipping is great exercise. Ok, I can sit on the floor and get up. I don't look too graceful getting up but I can get up. SKIPPING? Nah, I'm not going to do that! There are alot of things that at 45 year old woman just can't pull off, and skipping seems to be in that category!

She talked about setting goals? What is a realistic goal? and what are you going to do to attain it. Daily do something to move you closer to your goal, plus make a change in your diet for the better.

We had healthy snacks, Quinoua, salad, and Hummus.

Side note ... After much prayer about tonight (earlier this week) I was prompted to share an event where I felt the blessing of being fit and why I feel like it's important to be fit. I won't share the whole story, but it really comes down to we never know when we'll be asked to "Run and not be weary, Walk and not faint" we have to prepared for that. There was a day a few years ago that my son needed me to be somewhere, it was important to him to have me there. Time was running short, and I had to jog to get there, through a series of events I had to jog much further than I'd really planned on. I was able to do it because I had prepared physically. Even though I've not been as fit through the years the Lord has always reminded me of that day, and reminded me of the importance to always be prepared phyiscally.

Life on Thursday

First things first ... it is Freezing! When we left for school this morning it was ~14!

I subbed today. I've got an on going subbing position with the lower elementary's science teacher. It's on going in the respect that she only calls me to sub for her. Now the truth is her children are grown (youngest is W's age), so she doesn't have sick kids, she isn't sick so I only sub for her when she wants a day off.

Good side of this is... I get advanced warning
Bad side of this....it's not very often.

I taught the Water cycle to 2nd and 1st graders.

Now this lady has been teaching for around 25 years, so her lesson plans aren't very sub oriented. Meaning, it's not enough for a sub. For an hour class I have 2 books to read. NOT ENOUGH. I came up with a couple of other things so I had 45 minutes worth of stuff but still I hate to sing and dance with a class. Oh, well it means that I earn my $$$. I get to go back to they same thing tomorrow but I at least have the singing and dancing down from today!

I do have to say that 1st graders just have a smell to them!?!? They smell farty all the time! OK, not all of them, but today while I was reading a book, I thought I was going to have to open a window! and I have was in a good size room, a huge room in fact... Sheeeszzz it was strong! If a class is going to stink it's going to be a first grade class!

G had a rare Thursday night game this week. They lost! They've finally gotten some more boys on their team. They had 7 to start the season, then one broke his ankle (the coach's son) and one just quite (claiming he just didn't know how to play). This put a strain on the rest of the team. They didn't have any subs and they couldn't miss. I don't what happened but they came up with 2 more players and the kid that broke his ankle got his cast off! So now that the season is almost over they have subs!

I drove through Burger King after the game and it was burgers for all!

Life on Thursday

W and Hubby finally ventured out after the big Blizzard of 2011. From our house (inside looking out), we fared well. There's not much snow on the field but there are knee high drifts at all the doors! There are places with around a foot (that's not a drift) and then hay popping through in the field. How do you measure when it's like that!

We woke up to -9 degrees (had been down to -14) this morning, no wind! No School for G (hasn't been since Monday).

G and I had a relaxing morning. We downloaded a new game this week, Burger Shop 2, so we took turns playing this but then I wondered to kitchen and mildly cleaned out the frig and then I started in on my long list of phone calls (appointments), and could get G into the eye doctor today, so things picked up for us.

I showered and we were off. This was a big accomplishment for me since this was the first day I had really done things swiftly. My arm ached all through my errands but it's still fine.

G's eye exam ~ he'll be getting new glass

(we're hoping to just order lenses that fit his glass now)

Only to find out that I'd left the doctor's office without paying. They were going to call my insurance to see if it was in the system and I was suppose to drop right back by there and pay.......totally forgot about it! I'll be stopping by there in the morning!
Tonight's supper will be a simple burgers and fries with carrots with ranch to dip them in!
